Fisher-Price Throws a Baby Shower

Several months ago, I was contacted by Fisher-Price and asked to meet with them to discuss an upcoming event to introduce a new design of the company’s baby gear. Of course, I was more than delighted to meet with the company that I’ve always known as a trusted brand. When my daughters were babies, I used many of the Fisher-Price products, including the bouncer seat, which was a LIFESAVER when my first child came along!

On September 5th, Fisher-Price launched it nationwide baby shower to help expectant mothers prepare for their new bundles of joy. Expectant moms are invited to attend the very special baby shower event at participating zoos, along with Sherwin-Williams and the Container Store. The shower offers unique, targeted advice on everything moms-to-be planning their nurseries need to know, including organization. The event showcases the new Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo™ BabyGear and Newborn collections and unveils Sherwin-Williams’ palette of paint colors the company chose specifically to complement the Luv U Zoo line. Brenda Andolina, Director of PR and Brand Marketing at Fisher-Price had this to say:

“Preparing the nursery is an exciting yet stressful time for an expectant mother. She wants everything to be just perfect for this angel about to grace her life.  We teamed up with industry leaders, The Container Store and Sherwin-Williams, as well as Stacey Crew, organizing expert and author of The Organized Mom, to help make feathering the nest a little bit easier. Our goal is to create a special experience in which

moms-to-be can connect with each other and find helpful ideas and solutions for preparing for their baby’s arrival.  We want them to think of Fisher-Price as their extended family throughout this wonderful journey.”

The hour-long baby shower experience will offer moms-to-be an opportunity to walk through four themed room layouts, gain storage design tips from The Container Store, color ideas from Sherwin-Williams and organizational advice from me, The Organized Mom. Attendees will also have the opportunity to  mingle and meet  other expectant moms during this fun, unique celebration, which is a terrific idea! Moms-to-be will have the chance to win great prizes and they will each take home an exclusive goody bag featuring special offers, a Fisher-Price diaper sample and a newborn toy. The Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo showers kicked off September 5th at the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois and will run through November, culminating at the San Diego Zoo.  Here’s the tour schedule:

Sept. 5        Brookfield Zoo, Brookfield, Illinois

Sept. 11      Toledo Zoo, Toledo Ohio

Sept. 18      Phoenix Zoo, Phoenix, Arizona

Oct. 9          San Francisco Zoo, San Francisco, California

Nov. 13       Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa, Florida

Nov. 20       San Diego Zoo, San Diego, California

I couldn’t be happier to be part of this enormous event at the leading zoos throughout the country with trusted brands like Fisher-Price, Sherwin-Williams and The Container Store. Being a new mom is stressful in itself, but having resources or organization and creating a vision for the nursery will help moms-to-be ease into motherhood with a little less stress and A LOT more confidence!
