We are about 60 days from Christmas, which means it’s time to take a family photo for the Holiday card. Have a friend take one of the family or simply take one of just the kids.
A simple way to get a good photo is to start by dressing the children in something fun—an outfit that coordinates or matches with their siblings, or parents too. Or maybe you want to create a “Night Before Christmas” theme and put the kids in matching pajamas and set out a plate of cookies for Santa. My mom did that when we were kids! Whatever you choose, Hanna Anderson has all of that!
Once you have the clothing, take the photo. Choose an optimum time of day when everyone is at their best. Good lighting is important. If you can get to the beach, try taking the photo about 1.5 hours before sunset. If outdoors in a foliage-like setting, choose earlier morning or late afternoon.
It’s rare that you’ll get a good photo on the first take, especially if you have children under the age of 5, so be prepared to take quite a few.
Now that you have a suitable photo, upload it to create your custom holiday card!
If you’re interested in finding out how to send your holiday cards without leaving home and for less than $1 each, email me at staceycrew at gmail dot com. I’d love to tell you how!
