For those of you who read my blog regularly, you know that I’m always touting the importance of having your important documents backed up and stashed away in a safe-and-sound place. So, when I was contacted by Sentry Safe and asked to let my readers know about a tax-time giveaway of a $5,000 savings bond and a chance to WIN a safe (to protect those important documents), I jumped at the chance!

Let me highlight one of the safes that Sentry shipped for me to test out so I would know exactly what I was recommending. The 1.2 cubic foot safe has an adjustable shelf and combination lock; water resistant up to 8″ for 24 hours, which is great because I live in an area of the country prone to hurricanes; it also provides one-hour of fire protection for CDs, DVDs and USBs up 1700 degrees. It’s not lightweight (100 lbs.), that’s for sure, but fits nicely at the bottom of a closet. It can also be bolted to the floor. Available at Wal-mart and Target. A fantastic way to store important documents, backups of digital photos, jewelry, spare keys, passports and more.

Josh, a brand manager at Sentry, can tell you a little more about the safe and he’ll do it in under 60 seconds!
